I have been working at Target full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I’ve met some amazing guests that have become some amazing friends. I’m sorry, but I really can’t think of any more Pros to working here.

    Cons

If one of the ETL’s do not like you, they all do not like you. They gang up on you. It doesn’t matter how hard you work you will never get any recognition for it. If you are not a part of their clique, you are a NOBODY. They give you rules to follow as far as returns and coupon usage and then they will go against you right in front of the guest and make you look a fool. They teach you if a price tag does not match a DPCI it is considered a “ticket switch” and do not honor that price. Then when a guest complains they ask you why you didn’t honor the price?? You are pretty much damned if you do & damned if you don’t. It’s very confusing to say the least. They offer peanut butter and jelly sandwiches as a benefit, but they take it away as a punishment. Yes, grown adults we are talking about here.

    Advice to Management

Please think for yourself. Be unique. Quit following the crowd. It’s sad to see how you talk about employees behind their back. The whole time I’m listening to you, I’m also wondering what you are saying about me to other team members. I feel as though I’m in high school.

I worked at Target full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Working at Target wasn't that bad, sometimes it was slow sometimes it was super busy. For me being a shy person I didn't get that many questions asked which I liked.

    Cons

My other coworkers never really did anything, nights would drag on because we were always waiting for them to finish zoning their area. LOD's didn't seem to care either.

I worked at Target part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Schedule flexibility, daily huddles so everybody was up to date with the store, very lenient with time off, you could get any day off unpaid if wanted.

    Cons

Inconsistent hours , new leadership every once in a while, electronics department constantly a mess with nobody putting in fair amount of work. Leadership showed favoritism like nobody’s business. Always pushing for red cards when really it doesn’t benefit the Team Member at all.
