I have been working at Target full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

    - Flexible Hours - Transitional Workload (Never doing the same thing) - New Customers Everyday, With Interesting Problems To Solve

    Cons

    - Not Much Room For Growth - The Pay Vs The Situation you deal with is close to nothing. - The Raise doesn't help you pay the bills any better.

    Advice to Management

Look to develop employees, don't leave them in one place to long, they will eventually begin to look somewhere else for better opportunities. Stay alert to what's going on with your workers, especially if they used to put forth a different effort.

I have been working at Target part-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Helping guest with merchandise and seeing guest happy.

    Cons

Hours are hard to get and management never sticks with what they say after the interview process. Business isn't business its more like being in high school instead of being able to do your job.

    Advice to Management

People who sign on for full time should get there hours not part time people. As well as new highers should get proper training from people who has been there longer.

I worked at Target full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

The discount plus combining it with the cartwheel app.

    Cons

Working here reminded me of high-school, more people need to be cross trained, supervisors talked to you like you were a child, (not humble, poor attitudes, unprofessional, ghetto or lack common knowledge), and management main focus was on the Red Cards instead of the actual customer experience and did treat employees with respect.

I worked at Target part-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Meeting lots of new people and always seeing new items in the store. I think they have a lot of great kids clothes.

    Cons

Very unorganized as far as breaks & covering for someone else. Also I think more people should be cross-trained for other parts of the store.

    Advice to Management

    Work on becoming more organized.

I worked at Target part-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

If You're Willing To Play The Game And Deal With The High School Like Environment In Terms Of Management You'll Fit Right In. The team member hot line is your best friend.

    Cons

If you dont take sunday off your availability its likely you will be scheduled every weekend while leaders alternate weekends. Turnover rate is high. 5+ different leadership changes in my short tenure. None of which came from within. Warehouse like work for little pay. minimal genuine appreciation. Fueled on politics/brown nosing/favoritism. Corrupt culture/leaders. "Raises" are insulting. Reviews are suspicious and likely...

    Advice to Management

Completely overhaul management. Change the leader title to dictator. Promote from within. Value your employees. Eliminate your prejudice antics. Scrap the store.

I have been working at Target part-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Its a great place to work if you are on the executive level.

    Cons

Pay is abysmal. Place is ran with a high level of incompetence and an extremely low level of common sense.

    Advice to Management

Hire from within. Inspire others to be leaders. All supervisory titles have leader at the end. In my experience this has been a huge issue. Might as well change leader to manager/supervisor etc instead of this facade of being different and calling yourselves leaders.

I have been working at Target part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Coworkers were fun to be around and work with for the most part. Nightly differential was a nice little incentive. Working while the store was closed was great for a person like myself.

    Cons

Some policies hindered the work experience and made reaching certain goals rather difficult.

    Advice to Management

Scheduling employees for full shifts instead of scheduling them for 5 hour shifts in hopes that they stay longer only makes the work load that much more strenuous on those who actually do decide to stay. Acquiring an actual overnight team would make goals easier to reach.
