I worked at Target full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It is a fun atmosphere for most employees, and there is an attempt to maintain a "fast, fun, and friendly" environment for employees and customers. Pay is decent for management; unless your exempt and then you will wok excessively for the decent pay.

    Cons

Very incestuous environment. You need to have been "raised" at Target to be accepted. New employees with actual outside work experience will not enjoy this company. Do not come here unless you want to "execute". Thinking outside of what Target has always done is not permitted or appreciated.

    Advice to Management

Too many people at the STL and above level are "lifers". Find some new and fresh talent and allow them to suggest changes. Need a overhaul of the talent selection and development process.
