    Cons

We are still understaffed, and constantly being called in. Can't always help.

    Keep doing what you do.

Always training new hires, some LOD’s don’t seem qualified for their position.

I worked at Target part-time for more than a year

        Pros

A lot of the staff and customers a pretty nice and for the most part it was a upbeat and positive workplace. The $10/hr starting for everyonewas nice

        Cons

THE STUPID RED CARDS! Everyday you are expected to get at least two people sign up for the Target credit card, which is not as easy as it counts because basically nobody wants to sign up for another credit card. But they tell you to be pushy and to get people to sign up. You can get fired if you consistently are not meeting your goal of Red Cards for the week. Another thing is the way the employee discount works. Basically...

        Advice to Management

Be more understanding that things happen, even to your fairly new employees. I would get rid of the Red Card mandatory two sign ups a day because honestly it's ridiculous

I have been working at Target full-time for more than a year

        Pros

With open availability you get 40 hours a week in an environment that's accommodating and manageable. Know your products you're selling and it'll prepare you for easy success and general good being with guests in the store. Frequent breaks for mental resets and a supportive group make the environment easy and fulfilled.

        Cons

Although it's still above minimum wage, it's still hard to make a living from working full-time 40 hours. Grind through your seasonal trial period giving your best effort and hope a team lead position opens up that you can be considered for.

        Advice to Management

Ask co-workers periodically how things are going and really listen. If things are getting frantic in a section see if there isn't an available hard lines friend who can come help lift some of the workload

I have been working at Target part-time for more than 6 years

        Pros

Work with some of the best co-workers. I am able to be myself and still be accepted in this workplace.

        Cons

Management can become very clicky. Some management can be rude and get away with it (at my store anyway).

        Advice to Management

Be more real, more engaged with your team members and not just your fellow leaders. Team Members matter, too!

Current Employee - Logistics Team Member in Biddeford, ME

I have been working at Target part-time for more than 9 years

          Pros

Fast paced work, makes shift go by quickly. Standard benefits, more choices available the longer you are employed.

          Cons

No guaranteed hours unless your are full-time. Hourly wages need to be higher for amount of work done.

          Advice to Management

Provide more necessary/working equipment. Train more thoroughly. Increase pay.
