I worked at Target part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great training program, supportive and flexible work hours, as a pharmacist, they let you have lunch! The little things... I also had plenty of time to counsel patients

    Cons

I can't think of any cons...20 word minimum for this, I can't think of any cons...20 word minimum for this

I worked at Target part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good coworkers for the most part
Get days off as long as you request it in advance

    Cons

They push employees get customers to sign up for RedCards a lotttt

    Advice to Management

Acknowledge that your methods of pushing for more RedCards can lead to some questionable tactics. Stop putting so much pressure from the top down without knowing what it takes to actually get people to sign up. Not everyone wants a store credit card and cashiers can't change that.

I worked at Target part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

you get 10% off employee discount only if you pay with cash or purchase gift cards (with CC) i

    Cons

There weren't any promotional opportunities where I worked, they rather hire a new person who knows nothing about the job than promote one of the employees who have been working there for years.

The starting pay is slightly more than the minimum wage and the yearly raise is between .05 - .50 cents depending on how much they like you.

I have been working at Target full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Every other weekend off

    Cons

Based on a 50 hour work week , I averaged over 70 hours per week

    Advice to Management

    More thorough training and support

I worked at Target part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The team members, honestly if it wasn't for them, I'd have quit way earlier than I did. When I first started working there we had the best group of both team members and managers.

    Cons

The raises were so minimal. I once got a 20 cent raise from 8.90 to 9.10, then they never changed my pay rate because of the store's poor payroll. I know that Target as a company gets more than enough money to pay their workers more. The management is poor. They have people who are reviewing your work that barely do work themselves until it's time for the upper management to come in and inspect the place.

    Advice to Management

Company values really needs to be discussed with the team leaders. There are few that really get it.

I worked at Target part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Fortune 500 Company
    Diverse Atmosphere
Dress Code is pretty straightforward, (Red & Khaki)
    Direct Deposit for all employees
    Decent hours summer through winter.
Two 15 minute breaks during the average 8 hour shift.

    Cons

You may only use cash and the Target REDcard to recieve your useless %10 employee discount. (Your debit card is not an acceptable form of payment with your employee discount.)
Management regularly uses fear-based tactics, and phony corporate bullspit to get results.
Expect little to no hours after the holidays.
High turnover rate (seems like they hire every other week).
    30 minute lunch break.

    Advice to Management

    Grow up.
