I worked at Target full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Culture, team, interactions with our guests, it was an incredible experience and I honestly loved it

    Cons

Hours and the opportunities for advancement were limited unless you were recruited from local business college

    Advice to Management

Work with your current team members for executive positions, less turnovers and staff who already know and love target. Don’t over look them!

I have been working at Target full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Flexible schedule
    Many areas for advancement
Laidback, relaxed atmosphere for the most part
Most people get along with one another

    Cons

Pay starts just above minimum wage
Wage increases are small and only once a year
    Many workers form cliques
Many new LOD's cannot manage well due to no experience and also power struggle at times.

    Pros

    Fun place to work!
I love the team environment and my team is awesome!

    Cons

Need a degree to get a Team Leader job that only pays about $12.00 if you are promoted from within BUT get paid more if I leave and reapply in 90days, makes no sense.

plus if you are a Team Member and earn your degree you cannot promote to an ETL unless you take a TL job first BUT again you and leave and reapply, then get the job.

    Advice to Management

I have worked for the company for 5 years, they only promote you if you have a degree, ok so I got one, I was working towards an ETL position I was told I'll have to take a Team Lead position that only pays $12.00 per hour!!!! However if I leave I can reapply in 90 days as an ETL in which case I most likely will be hired just because I have a degree.
