The benefits are great, even though they take some time to get (if you are part time). I enjoyed my team and bosses.

I worked at Target full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

This job was a decent college job. Somewhat flexible hours and scheduling with a decent base pay.

    Cons

Horrible management that insisted on making every day more horrible than the last. They greatly overwork their team members.

    Advice to Management

I highly recommend that you all do a better job of hiring managers and leaders. Try looking within store for more qualified individuals that are people friendly and represent the face of the company better.

I have been working at Target full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

This is the only retailer I've worked with to give you every other weekend off as a manager. For the most part, when you're off the clock you're left alone. During LOD shifts you get to own the business without much interference.

    Cons

Too much politics at the store level, reminds me of high school; everyone has their own agenda. Hours can be difficult sometimes when you have multiple closes per week. Sr. Team Leaders close more than any other leadership position in the store.

    Advice to Management

Proactively recruit Sr. Team Leaders to ETL positions regardless of degree status.

    Pros

Fun Environment and Fast Paced. Constant, consistent work.

    Cons

    Outstanding work is not recognized

    Advice to Management

Please increase the wages and bonuses for employees who work harder than others, and also get your Estimated Finish Times below the hours expected it to take.

I worked at Target full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Team member discounts
    Holiday Pay for team members
    Working with team members
Clean environment for customers to shop and enjoy

    Cons

    District Leadership is inept
Manage the business to fake upper management tours
Regional Leadership has no clue about the challenges of running a store on the labor model that is given. Stores spend incredible amounts of labor to get ready for these self serving visits from Regional Leaders to make it appear that things are running that way everyday. No one seems to check and see how much payroll was spent to get ready for these visits.

    Advice to Management

Instead of wasting money on the team member engagement survey. Conduct visits that are unannounced to see the true challenges of the business. Perhaps run a truck with teams to see if it can be done in the payroll that is allocated. Worry about these things more instead of who can go in what bathroom.

    Cons

the schedule is not that flexible with my store. but i think it depends on which store you work at. i know CVS don't require student to work a lot.
