    I worked at Target

    Pros

Loved the team I worked with, my mentors were genuinely invested in helping me grow as a leader and manager. Might depend on the store you're placed in, but it was a valuable experience and paid good money.

    Cons

Only con I have is the schedule. As an intern, you'll be working every other weekend, just like a full-time Executive Team Leader would. I had one day off during the week, but every other week I'd work 7 days in a row.

I worked at Target part-time for more than a year

    Pros

I worked at a small format target. There are only two of these in NC, but they're essentially a small version of a Target. About the size of a small grocery store, but with a larger variety of items. I knew all of my coworkers, had great relationships with all of the LODs, and felt incredibly supported and loved. If you're looking for a job with a strong sense of community, look no further.

    Cons

The hours were sporadic and it was difficult to feel secure.

  6. "good for part-time job"

I worked at Target part-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - very competitive pay - willing to work with school schedules

    Cons

    - inconsistent scheduling - high manager turnover - asked to perform many tasks outside of job description (with no raise) when supervisor quit

I have been working at Target part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Target is a great place to start, or if you're just looking for something to keep you busy. I genuinely like my leadership and co-workers. Work is interesting for the most part. Good perks, benefits after some time. Easy to work with your schedule.

    Cons

All in all, it's still retail. Even with an outstanding company, it's a corporate environment. Not everything is going to work exactly as hoped. It often feels like there is not enough manpower to accomplish the goals.
