    Pros

    - Clean environment
    - Team members are friendly
    - There is a diverse environment within the company
    - Good aerobic exercise
    - Certain team leads help to get the job done

    Cons

    - Not enough team members; expectations to help guests and complete tasks.
    - Management expects same outcomes even with fewer workers.
    - Short amount of time to get everything done with an overwhelming amount to finish.
    - There could be more efficient communication between the teams and more training on how to work outside of your own area.
    - Don't expect to move up or promote in any way. Expect to be stuck here unless you plan to entirely kiss up to all the managers.
    - Certain managers are given way too much sway into other departments due to district associations.

    Advice to Management

    - Some managers like to play favorites and blame others for the mistakes they make.
    - Listen to team member and team lead suggestions.
    - Don't always give negative feedback!
    - Telling team members they will lose more hours will not promote loyalty and/or retention.
    - Always be friendly!

I worked at Target full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Pay was decent, employee discount was handy.

    Cons

Sr. Management is in a CONSTANT state of turmoil/flux. Also, as an Exempt employee, 14 hour days are the norm. They could give a damn about your work/life balance, DESPITE all; of their assurances to the contrary. They talk a good game, but do NOT deliver in this area. REAL WORLD EXAMPLE: I was on vacation (one day) in order to pick up my son and wife from the hospital where he had undergone surgery to have a feeding tube inserted. My STL (Store Teal Lean, i.e. Store Manager) called me ON VACATION and asked me to rent a UHaul and drive to the store in Elk Grove to pick up extra shopping carts (they were going to reimburse me for the UHaul, which they did) as they had several they wanted to get rid of. I reminded her that I was on leave and that I had to pickup my son in a few hours. She told me that left me plenty of time, can I please do it, etc... In brief, rented the Uhaul, drove in the rain to pick them up, loaded them MYSELF (ZERO assistance from the other store) and then delivered them in the rain. Her response to me? 'That's great, but it sure is a shame you weren't able to go back and pick up more..." At that point, I realized it was time to leave.

     you will get good exposure

    Cons

They should focus more in training new employees

    Advice to Management

Entry level training should be improved to boost confidence in new employees

I have been working at Target full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

There are a lot of different departments to work in.

    Cons

Upper management is horrible. Hr is too concerned with business needs to actually help any employees.

    Advice to Management

Remember that non-management are people too.
