I have been working at Target part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Always great people to work with. Many great moments learning, and growing with other Team Members and Team Leads

    Cons

Scheduling can get a little difficult at times, especially for more specialty positions. Frustrating at times to work with Team Members and Team Leads, that don't want to cooperate, or aren't receptive in regards to anything you have to say.

    Advice to Management

Listen to Team Members, and work together to figure out the exact culture and needs of your Team Members at your store. Otherwise, always strive to be your best!

I worked at Target part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It payed slightly more than minimum wage.

    Cons

Employees at Walmart were payed 4 dollars more an hour for the same job and treated better even thought Walmart is always in the news about how awful they treat and pay their workers, it's just funny how target is worse and never gets in the news or called out because of it.

    Advice to Management

The management there seemed to be barely functioning as a high schooler I had to do many of their tasks for them because it was to complex for them to comprehend, the upper management such as the district manager were just as incompetent seeming to know less about their target market and just general business related facts and tactics compared to what I had learned in a 9th grade business class.

    Pros

Scheduling was flexible for part time work.

    Cons

    Store discount was not spectacular.

    Advice to Management

Be careful who you station at the check lanes. The always seemed to be staffed by team members who were slow and overly-talkative.
