    Pros

The people are the best part about Target. The culture is also very fun and inclusive. Everyday at Target is different.

    Cons

Work life balance-you work a lot of hours and a difficult schedule. You also have to work holidays and taking vacation is sometimes stressful.

    Advice to Management

Work life balance needs to be more of a priority.

I have been working at Target part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Willing to train and develop employees who want to grow within the company.

    Cons

    Low starting pay.
Will only hire if you have open availability.

    Advice to Management

I was never informed on basic things like how to request time off, sign up for direct deposit, change schedule availability. etc. I have many questions and really no idea who to ask because it's always so hectic. I'm not even sure who I report to.

I have been working at Target part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It's a great place to start and it's always welcoming to new people. You really feel like they're looking out for you and want to cultivate your development. They encourage feedback and appreciate hard work.

    Cons

You get what you put into it. If you aren't going in with the right positive attitude you're going to have a more difficult time.

I worked at Target part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The people that you work with.

    Cons

Not enough people for everything, very low pay, and not enough hours.

    Advice to Management

Aim to hire people as if they will be with the company for life.

    Pros

This job requires absolutely no thinking at all. People ask questions about products but it doesn't matter if you know it or not, just make stuff up. There is also a sweet discount, so that's something.

    Cons

Enjoy working with high school dropouts and dealing with terrible people. The hours are poor the pay is bad, management are either lifers or people people with degrees in underwater basket weaving.

    Advice to Management

Stop abusing employees and using the security cameras to keep track of your employees. Harassing employees over the red phone for not looking busy enough is terrible.
