I worked at Target part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Majority of coworkers are nice and understanding. Easy to communicate with HR when needed. They understood family emergencies were a part of life and didn't hassle me when those emergencies arose.

    Cons

Honestly I didn't really feel many downsides besides the usual things such as under-staffing during more active hours and stuff like that. Typical retail culture.

    Advice to Management

Continue what you've been doing, in my one year of working at Target, I felt comfortable at all times and would definitely return if I wasn't seeking a degree in college at the moment.

I worked at Target (More than a year)

    Pros

It was cool getting to know the workers, and meeting new people

    Cons

Management did not have much clue what they were doing - confused calls would usually be placed in the walkie-talkie but oftentimes no one would respond because almost everyone was clueless

    Advice to Management

    Step it up?

I worked at Target part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Friendly environment, Nice pay for teens, Constant orientations

    Cons

Must ask the "guests" if they would like a target red card every time

I worked at Target part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - The coworkers were quality people, with usually positive attitudes
    - easy system for asking for time off work if you need it. Fairly easy to trade give away shifts

    Cons

    - you will work for a WHILE before you get just a $0.25 raise
    - management preaches lame teamwork crap like robots

    Advice to Management

Come back down to earth! Stop treating "vibes" like a valued currency to your employees and maybe you will keep the average employee longer than 4 months.

I have been working at Target part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Friendly coworkers and flexible scheduling. Have a generally clean workplace with readily available cleaning products.

    Cons

too many coworkers who slack around too much to the point where most of the work goes to those who do work

    Advice to Management

Either move the employees who can't do their job efficiently to a job they can do or fire them to make room for more efficient employees.

I have been working at Target part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Well, the position requires a large amount of physical activity. It helped me get into shape and boosted my confidence. Also, my co-workers and managers are more than willing to help out in, and outside, the store.

    Cons

The same as before. Physical activity. As a Cart Attendant, you're required to push carts, collect baskets, collect hangers, collect re-shop, refill register bags, clean restrooms, change garbages, stock up supplies, maintain a clean front end, help with a guest requested "carry out", clean up toxic and non toxic spills, and cover Target Café employee breaks all in one shift. Oh! Not to mention you're the only one per shift.

    Advice to Management

    I kinda need my job.
