    Company seems to care about you, flexible schedule

    Lack of opportunities to move up within the company. They would rather outside hire.

    Be more honest about the fact that its hard to move up, don't give false hope.

    Great benefits, pays well, upper-corporate leadership sets good goals for the company

    Cons

    Management policies and enforcement vary drastically from store to store, and some leaders are absolutely great, while others are terrible.

    Follow your own policies, don't just set them.

    Stonewalled into not being able to move up. Having to do others work constantly.

    Good pay for entry level. Very few slow shifts, they always keep you busy.

    Cons

    A lot expected of you, sometimes its more than is physically possible to get done.

    Find ways to lower workload for backroom employees.

    People are nice to work with
    Good pay
    Good workout

    Cons

    Appreciation for employees is severely lacking
    Understaffed
    Expectations for completion of duties even within a 4 hour work shift are redicolous if not impossible.
    Stressful work environment is putting this place lightly

    Advice to Management

    Show appreciation to your team more, and worry less about selling credit cards.
    Appreciate what your team members do within the shift time constraints more and worry less about getting everything done
    Saying thank you goes a long way

    I have been working at Target full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Working in the backroom providers you with a lot of freedom. You don't have to talk to customers too often. Great pay for no education degree. Flexible scheduling.

    Cons

    Some of the worst management I have ever witnessed. They have very little respect for employees. Nobody is willing to train a new employee.

    Advice to Management

    Find managers with business degrees.
