I have been working at Target part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It is a demanding company, you need to be fast, fun and friendly. Flexibles hours.

    Cons

The salary is not great. As a Sale Floor Member you have to do cashier, customer service, janitor, cart attendant and operator. You really need to be very flexible.

    Advice to Management

Hire more people and provide a better salary.

I worked at Target full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

HR provided me with plenty of hours and catered to my availability.
Decent work culture, team leaders try to interact with everyone.

    Cons

    Pay is low.
Management didn't give me a great opportunity to become a team leader and join them in management despite having good work ethic.

    Advice to Management

Encourage employees to pursue management or team leader positions and promote more from within for those who are qualified.

I have been working at Target full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It's pretty chill. It's not very fast paced but it's fun.

    Cons

They don't work with your schedule like they say they will. They often schedule you outside of your availability.

    Advice to Management

Communicate! No one talks to each other and it's frustrating when you have a problem that management could simply fix but won't cause they won't communicate with one another.

I have been working at Target part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The occasional feeling of self worth given sparingly by the worthless upper management.

    Cons

Fast fun and friendly is clearly used to describe team members as being whores. Hiring people to replace others behind their back, promoting the ones who cause the most issues and having the most unrealistic viewpoints. Punishments for not getting red cards that no one wants after everyone discovered how little the company truly cares about guests as well. Cutting shifts short because of overtime, changing your schedule the day before and blaming you because you weren't aware, having team leads take over extra areas for the same pay, write ups because your work wasn't done even if every single person on your team calls out, the rudest and most ignorant of management (Clearly, a degree has no way of measuring experience or knowledge. Let alone conversation skills). Double standards galore! I had to listen to a TL complain about her life for 15 minutes without anyone saying anything while I went and helped the guests she could be taking care of, but the moment you try and communicate a strategy for the work day with someone, it's a write up.

    Advice to Management

"Culture" - A cultivation of bacteria. Which is exactly what this company is. Bacteria that isn't even good for you or the community. Keep up the good work with the veil you throw over everyone's eyes. Maybe you'll be able to put off your demise even longer.

I worked at Target full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They treat you with respect. You have a family

    Cons

There is really no downside, It's a company that you can grow with

    Advice to Management

Always do random pop ups to ensure the equality of treatment with all staff members
