    Pros

Great working experience and work environment.
    Always doing something.
Old manager respected us and treated us as equals.

    Cons

One manager ruined everything. She made us feel lower, not doing well, and overall unhappy. Very two-faced and rude. Didn't treat seasonal well and didn't talk to all of us about our job through our experience from the few months. She only talked to one seasonal, I had to go talk to HER to see if I had my job or not. I was told they are supposed to talk to other employees about the staff member. She did not.

    Advice to Management

I am very unhappy that she is in charge of the staff. She truly took advantage of us and made everyone feel lower. Since my interview with her she made me feel like I was the bad person. The issue is that the rest of the managers see it and don't do anything about it.

I worked at Target part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

As a cashier, you get to meet great people.
They work really well around employees who go to school.
    10% employee discount.
Nice work breaks and lunch scehduling.
Can expand to be taught to work everywhere in the store if you ask.

    Cons

    RED CARDS ARE HELL!!!!
They made me hate my work. They kept pushing you to get people to sign up for Target Credit and Debit cards, breathing down your necks to get one everyday.

    Advice to Management

    Give people a break.
    Get rid of RedCards.
Meeting are important, start with that

I have been working at Target part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

-Great pay for a starting job
-Offers retail experience and many cross training opportunities
-Opportunity to gain promotions if you work hard
-Enough people work there that you're garunteed to find a group you love working with

    Cons

-Have a good STL? You're in the clear and will enjoy the job. Have a crappy STL? You're basically stuck unless you or they transfer.
-Hours can go down for little to no reason.
-Bad exec team can mean little to no communication for things like store hours, open positions, promotions, changes in management, even something like consistency in zoning quality, which leads them to think everything is a mess because you focused on something else other then what they liked.

    Advice to Management

Make sure you have an enviroment of open communication with each other and the team. Not understanding exactly what it is that the ETL's want and being forced to guess what the current LOD wants is what leads to the store being a mess. And for goodness sakes please fire the guy who has been scheduled as a cashier once a week but has shown up for less then half his shifts for a year.
