    Pros

Very busy and active. Great managers and staff to work with. Employee discount even on sale/clearance items!

    Cons

They keep track of how many Red cards you sign up. Was really hard to do during hectic holiday shopping periods. People dont want to wait. They want to pay and get out.

I have been working at Target full-time for more than 20 years

    Pros

Flexible schedule, friendly fun environment. Promotion opportunities available and the stores are willing to invest in you if you invest in it. Routines are set and are great when they are maintained with a full staff.

    Cons

It all depends on the store you work at. Some stores have it together and some do not. When you are in a red store it seems like every day is taxing.

    Advice to Management

Stay consistent and always remember the team matters too.

I worked at Target full-time for more than a year

    Pros

This internship was one of the best experiences I had during my collegiate career. The best part about the internship was the ability to connect with internal and external stakeholders. Daily, you learned from the employees about the different work centers and you were afforded the opportunity to help manage the store as the "Leader on Duty." Being able to work with so many different people and needing to problem solve...

    Cons

It is a rotational schedule which can be difficult to get used to. That is retail for you! I worked a shift at 7pm into the early morning as well as a shift that started at 6am into the afternoon and so on. However, if you prefer a schedule that isn't a 9 to 5, then it is a good job for you.

    Advice to Management

Keep onboarding great new talent from colleges countrywide, because it is an amazing program that facilitates growth in the future talent pool of managers for Target.

I have been working at Target full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Benefits are great, they're supposed to be flexible with your availability so going to school and working here is nice.

    Cons

Its retail, you will always have a difficult guest every once in a while that will ruin your day. The managers run the break and lunch schedules for all cashiers. Sometimes you wont get your break until 3 hours into your shift which is horrible considering that you're standing in one spot the entire time. We're almost always understaffed. I do also feel as though I spend too much of my life at target. Work, Sleep, then...

I worked at Target full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Great employees, benefits come eventually, flexible with scheduling- especially if you’re a student

    Cons

Managers don’t listen to needs, scheduling can become a pain- hours to work are all over the place, nobody (except for Team Leads and ETLs) is actually full time, they keep you under 40 hours every week, sometimes less. The expected work vs what you’re actually getting paid is sad- but if you do a good job you’ll (eventually) get your yearly review and get from one cent up to (what I hear) 50 cents in raise, but it’s...

I worked at Target part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great employee discount and savings when sales and promotions were active.

    Cons

The particular store I worked for had little to no training and you were expected to figure out things on your own.

    Advice to Management

Be more thorough in training staff and explaining policies.
