I worked at Target part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Some of the team leaders are nice, but I enjoyed working with the customer much more.

    Cons

Being watched by security while you, follow to the restroom, and follow when you're off and while you're shopping!. Don't hire people that you don't trust. It's not a good feel, for people that are not thieves. Very uncomfortable, and the security team sits in the lunchroom and brags about it. Terrible feeling.

    Advice to Management

Communicate more with your staff, and stop expecting teenagers and young adults with very if any leadership skills to run your store. The only time you communicate with store staff is when its punitive. This is really sad.

    Cons

    Advice to Management

maybe make a uniform intern system at all stores so employees can teach better

I worked at Target full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - flexible with scheduling, request days off or leave of absence anytime

    Cons

    - BAD PAY: pay increases by A FEW CENTS every year after review, seasonal workers are hired all year long and they get paid $1-2 more than regular workers, such nonsense!!
-BAD HOURS: hours get cut no matter if you're part time or full time. After the holidays, you'd be lucky to have even 12 hours a week. What doesn't make sense is that sometimes they offer overtime for TLs but won't give more hours to workers.
    - MANAGEMENT SUCKS: you have TLs who don't do anything and talk down on workers when THEY need help, you got ETLs who are unorganized in so many ways causing stress for everyone and you have a stupid HR ETL who promises workers a career at target by helping them grow but yet does nothing but sits on his butt all day long. Did I also mention, the store manager yells at his workers when things go wrong and blames it on everyone.
    - BENEFITS: standard health care costs but really nothing too extraordinary, break rooms are dirty and disgusting, lockers filled with 10 weeks old food and fruit flies, tv in a break room(but so what? I rather be on my phone), worst wifi on the planet(it shouldn't even be considered wifi)

    Advice to Management

Hmm.. I don't know, how about treating your workers with respect and a decent pay? We're not slaves.

I worked at Target part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Payed Slightly Above Minimum Wage
    The workers were great
Discount of 10%, 15%+ if you have a Red Card and Target App

    Cons

Higher ups didn't actually care if things were functioning correctly
    Power struggles between higher ups
Red Card sales are all that anyone worried about
Super Unorganized with inventory and health inspections
Does not like giving out Overtime

    Advice to Management

Don't hire people just because they have a degree in business
Pay attention to how valuable your workers are

I have been working at Target (More than a year)

    Pros

Great job as a high school student, they can't keep you too long at night or after school. Great with scheduling high schoolers.

    Cons

After you are no longer a high school student they give no regards to your listed availability really. Management is not great and often if youre older than 18 you have to work longer hours even when you requested not to.
