. Working at Target is fun

    Cons

. Not enough advancement/management positions for me
. They don't trust me with certain positions around the store

    Advice to Management

I worked at Target full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Some good people, holiday work/pay

    Cons

lazy coworkers, horrible management on all levels (honestly they don't care for your wellbeing just dignified bullies if you ask me)

    Advice to Management

Don't work here if you don't know what you're doing. My store basically hired anyone with a degree. Know your stuff or it will cost you and the store.

I have been working at Target part-time

    Pros

Good pay, always active, always moving around, get to use wallows and iPods on the job

    Cons

Discount is very small. Always ask you to sell red cards, care about what's done more than how much there is to do

    Advice to Management

Focus on how much work you're giving your employees in the time frame you expect it to be done in

I worked at Target full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Nice pay. Raises aren't large, but they reflect your effort/results.
flexible scheduling, they will work with you with children or school.

    Cons

Experience varies hugely depending on the ETLs. Also some of the ETLs will try and "sabotage" other departments by telling the team members to work in a different dept.

    Advice to Management

Don't micromanage the team members, trust them to do their jobs. Most of them can do so.

I worked at Target part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Easy Work with food often in break room especially during the holidays or on busier days of the week

    Cons

Terrible Management. I only got scheduled to work when I said I couldn't and I got in trouble for it. And only 10% discount

    Advice to Management

Listen to the hours that the employees say they're available and try and respect those hours because they cant work those times.

    Cons

exexutives are most of the time rude and money driven

    Advice to Management

    Cons

a bit tiring initially, until one is getting used to it.

    Advice to Management

should split the task equally among the team members at work, so that the task would be completed on time.

I worked at Target (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great people to work with, competitive pay at an executive level

    Cons

Lack of work life balance. Guaranteed to work at least 1-2 nights a week plus 2 weekends a month. High pressure environment. If you find a position that you are happy in, once you are labeled as a high potential, you are basically forced to promote even when you don't want to.

I have been working at Target (Less than a year)

    Pros

This is my first role out of college, and I already have my own office, team of 4 to lead, and company credit card! I've been given a lot of responsibility for my first role and it's an amazing opportunity to be an HR Manager right out of college.

    Cons

The hours are long and not so fun. At my store working 50 hours a week is considered a good week. Usually I'll spend 11-12 hours at the store each day (5 days a week), with a brief lunch break (under 30 min). We work rotating weekends and have one set day a week off. HRs are expected to work overnight shifts as well, which can start around 10p/12am and end at 10am/12pm the next morning. We also are expected to take Leader on Duty shifts, which can start as early as 6am for the morning shift, or end as late as 2/3am for the closing shift. For these reasons, I struggle to have a good work/life balance.

    Advice to Management

Better pay, less hours, and more understanding of work/life balance.
