I worked at Target part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Everybody works as a team. The leads or supervisors will help you and are always there if you need anything. When they say team members they really mean you are a team

    Cons

The only thing I hated was the pay and at the time didn't have any full time positions open

    Advice to Management

The only thing I would say is if you want the cashiers and sales associates to truly care and help people more don't pay them less than they would make at McDonald's

    I worked at Target full-time

    Pros

The pros is that you get to interact with some awesome clients. They really make you feel and know that they love the way you are helping them.

    Cons

This job offers no benefit. There is als no room for growth.

    Advice to Management

Give more employees the opportunity to participate and in planning and implementation.

I worked at Target (Less than a year)

    Pros

The pay wasn't bad for the job, and the job was always fun at the store I worked at.

    Cons

Management can seem to micro-manage frequently.

I worked at Target part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Pay is competitive
    Mandatory breaks and lunch
Discounts and sales are pretty good

    Cons

    Very little training
No checks that the people you are job sharing with are actually pulling their weight
Turnover is so bad, even with managers, you almost always have too much work for the employees on the floor.

    Advice to Management

The managers refused to communicate with each other and many teammates. Policies changed constantly. They would decide they didn't like you and punish you through scheduling, coaching, and being pulled into the office.

I worked at Target part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Small discount on store items
    First to know about sales
    Easy to pick up shifts
    Lots of breaks

    Cons

Sexist management (at the location I worked)
Long hours sometimes due to fixing the store after close
    Revolving door with new hires

    Advice to Management

Don't treat employees different based on their gender. Don't schedule employees until 9pm and keep them until midnight. Don't put new hires in the dressing room until they have plenty of time to be trained; Answering the phone is intimidating when you are new to the store and unaware of certain products/sections.

    Pros

Generally the culture is very relaxed compared to other competitive corporations. (Walmart specifically) It's surprisingly one of those jobs where you wake up happy to come to work.

    Cons

Little opportunity to advance without a degree.

I worked at Target part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Employee discount, sense of teamwork, great management

    Cons

Minimum wage, retail can be crazy

    Advice to Management

overall this was an okay place to work. Retail in general is not a blast, but coworkers and management made it worth it. It was a good job to have while going to school, and I have maintained several friendships from this job.

I have been working at Target full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Can show up late frequently and they almost never deem it a problem

    Cons

Managers push employee around with negativity. Target should've been a team instead the ETL's just rule with a iron fist.

    Advice to Management

Stop yelling and accusing and try respect instead
