I have been working at Target part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Management is very friendly and understanding
    Very flexible schedule
Co-workers are very nice and friendly
Management takes your side if a guest attempts to make you look bad
Not too hard to advance in

    Cons

Way too much pressure to get people to sign up for the REDCards. They can be very demanding about that... especially when the store has less than expected REDCards for the day. It's even harder to get people to apply for the card when it requires a blank check to apply for the Debit card version. Who carries checks these days? (However, you do get occasionally rewarded for getting X number of REDCards)

Often times not enough employees to help out. I'm a cashier, and on busy days it gets backed up a lot. We need more than 5 lanes open!

Often scheduled several days in a row at inconvenient times, regardless of what you said your availability was. For example, closing one day (11 pm) and opening the next day (8 am). You could always call in or give a shift away... but sometimes you need the hours.

Other than those minor complaints, it's been pleasant working here.

    Advice to Management

Please look into making easier ways to apply for the Target REDCard. It would be better if the guest could just type their routing number and everything directly in the application or swipe their normal card without having to have a blank check.

I worked at Target part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Fun coworkers, discounts, can work in different parts of the store

    Cons

Does not work around your schedule, not professional managers

    Advice to Management

Pay closer attention to your employees doing the work, rather the management who can not manage.
