I worked at Target (More than a year)

    Pros

    Good work attitude and culture

    Cons

Management pushes you hard without any chance of benefit to yourself.

    Advice to Management

Make it less blatant that managers are incentivized based on our effort

I have been working at Target part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

None really. Able to see merchandise before customers, hiring for the holidays. 15 minute breaks, snacks in the break room.

    Cons

Lack of hours, 10% discount only if you have target debit, Target credit or cash. Also you cannot use discount on baby products or groceries. No real training, paid every two weeks. You have to supply your own red shirt.

    Advice to Management

Up the discount! You want us to slave and go over and beyond for customers but most employees can’t afford to shop there. No way employees should have a work schedule for 8 hours a week.

    Neutral Outlook

I have been working at Target full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

A fun friendly environment . Get to meet new people.

    Cons

Hard to get promoted . Backroom is kinda heavy and takes a toll on your body. Hours given to you fluctuate sometimes

    Advice to Management

Should pay closer attention to people who would like to get promoted who are really working towards that goal .

    Pros

Great team members, Work with availability, I get 40 hours.

    Cons

Horrible managers, Can't talk to other team members, Overly stress you for no reason.

    Advice to Management

Let your workers do their job rather than hounding them 24/7, Let team members talk among themselves as long as it persists to work.

I worked at Target part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Management left you alone and let you do your job. As long as you got your work done no one bothered. Very flexible when asking for time off.

    Cons

No room for being promoted from within. Felt like I was in high school again with working with younger people that talked and gossiped about other co-workers. They talked more than they got work done.

    Advice to Management

Company needs to higher people that actually do work and take the seriously.
