I worked at Target for less than a year

    Pros

Great exercise, Perfect for those with retail background, always something to do, reasonable customers (guests)

    Cons

Prepare to walk at least 8 miles a day on a shift, up to 15, and the end of your scheduled shift isn't always the actual end if you work a closing shift. As cons go, this isn't the worst. Buy the highest quality shoes you can get your hands on with your first paycheck.

Former Employee - Front End Cashier in Tulsa, OK

I worked at Target part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good part-time job while in school. Enjoyed everyone I worked with, we would have a movie of the week play every Tuesday in the break room and then it would be raffled off to someone that worked that day. Also got a 5% off discount.

    Cons

Never seemed to staff enough cashiers and then people from other departments would have to help which irritated both them and the waiting customers. Also The bathroom situation was a nightmare. They would just grab a random male and female employee once an hour and tell them to "check" the bathroom. You were given no cleaning supplies and just basically looked around, picked up any paper towels that may be on the floor or told your GSTL if they were out of something and then just signed off.

I worked at Target full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    the 13$ an hour pay.

    Cons

You got treated like dog crap. they expected me to finish my work that should’ve taken a full 8 hour shift, in 4-5 hours because they cut everyone’s hours to hire seasonal people.

I have been working at Target part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Decent pay You'll usually have a couple of great co-workers and at least one manager who are willing to assist you and are positive even when it feels like the store is collapsing around you. Sometimes flexible with work hours, this varies from store to store.

    Cons

No healthcare under 40hr/weeks. Mostly to be expected. Dysfunctional equipment, barely eno
