I worked at Target part-time for less than a year

    Pros

You get an employee discount and first look at things coming out. The job environment is very laid back and gives you an opportunity to really interact with customers.

    Cons

I can't think of many cons. Sometimes working in the warehouse can be a mess when folks don't take care to make sure things are done right.

I worked at Target full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Pay is decent. Benefits are good/average. Known brand. Up to date technology.

    Cons

Bare minimum payroll. Unreasonable work load for a 40 hour a week job. Little room for growth. Lack of communication from higher up.

    Advice to Management

Target is going on the wrong direction. Best to avoid them. They made huge mistakes the last 5 years or so and are making the store employees pay for it.

I worked at Target part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Flexible hours Great team-minded environment They try to keep it all positive as give feedback 10% discount? 401k matched up to 5%

    Cons

Work EVERY weekend Work all holidays (most without holiday pay) People call out all the time No potential to be promoted (at least in my store) Company as a whole has messed up in Canada and makes employees work harder without raises to account for THEIR losses. Company has started to make decisions that affect workers negatively and they get no rewrd for working more and harder.

    Advice to Management

My supervisors were great! The problem comes from corporate.
