I worked at Target full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Great pay
    - Fairly easy job
    - Fast paced job that keeps you busy
    - Great benefits
    - Non judgmental (meaning you can have piercings/tattoos)

    Cons

    - Not very flexible
    - Needs/wants are not communicated well
    - If you get on anyone's bad side, rumors WILL be spread
    - Managers do NOT take no for an answer (if they do, they have an attitude with you)

    Advice to Management

You guys need to share your exact wants and needs of an employee. Instead, you guys just get really irritated with us if we make one mistake or forget to do something. One task at a time please. And regarding new employees especially, be patient. Also, look into coworker relationships. Seems to me like your employees enjoy harassing other employees.

I have been working at Target part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The people you meet can really make or break the experience. Working Electronics can be hectic, but fun all the same. Once you know the routine- pulls, zone, go backs, guest service, it's a cake walk.

    Cons

Depends on your management team, because when they blow they really blow and make everyone feel their wrath. Expected task could sometimes get muddled in mundane task given by lazy managers. When hours are short they really cut your average weekly hours in a terrible way.

    Advice to Management

Stop simply stop trying to treat your employees like they have no idea what they are doing. The job is easy to pick up in three months or less buy someone willing to do it. Actually use logic and think with your head about what daily task should be done and if you see something so minute that you could fix then fix it and stop walkie'n someone across the store to fix a sock.
