I have been working at Target part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It was a nice environment where I can work and be at home at my job.

    Cons

The payments and time wasn't the best. The hours weren't the best as well.

I worked at Target full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

pay was ok while i waited for a call from my current employer. Easy hours and very helpful staff. Nice place

    Cons

not many aside from the random rude customers and sometimes you would catch a manager having a bad day but nothing out of the norm for retail.

    Pros

The only thing that is okay is that you get a decent 401K from them

    Cons

Hours can go from 40 one week to only 15 hours the following week. Health Benefits are nothing. Management has favorites. Pay is really bad Ive been there for 5 years and my biggest raise was only 8 cents and I had "O"'s on everything

    Advice to Management

Stop playing favorites. Also Managements is never able to find when you need them

I worked at Target full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good people work not hard at all

    Cons

Pay is horrible worked there for 3 years then minimum pay in my department went up to a few cents more that I was making so I got bumped up to that no more. Making the same as someone who had just started less than a month

    Advice to Management

    Reevaluate your compensation practices

I worked at Target full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Awesome, high tech tools used for loss prevention.
    Great directives for apprehensions.

    Cons

The regular cashier and floor staff can be childish and un-inviting.

I worked at Target part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It was like a big family including upper management. They would supply food in the break room as incentives for achieving store goals. I had great hours, and a great team to work with. If I was unable to get any hours I would be able to swap shifts with someone or pick up shifts as needed.

    Cons

The ability to promote within. As a college graduate I wanted to stay with the company in a hire position, but my HR representative told me to not even bother. Also like with any job is the pay, but it is an entry level retail job so that's to be expected.

I worked at Target part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Very flexible schedule, 10% employee discount (it's not great but its a discount nevertheless), great employees and it is a pretty easy moderate pace job.

    Cons

Minimum wage to start and raise is rare and small. Your schedule changes every week so you can go from 35 hours one week to 4 the next. Most of the supervisors hated their job and took it out on the team members
