I have been working at Target for less than a year

    Pros

Target offers competitive salaries and lots of growth opportunities for its senior staff members.

    Cons

You will have to earn every penny of said competitive salary, and the growth opportunities come from turnover. The ETL's and STL's have either been around forever, or they are new employees; this is never a good sign. Working at Target is soulless work but for some, its a passion.

    Pros

Fast paced environment so be prepared to run!

    Cons

Company is streamlining like everyone else so you will be required to do tasks with less and less people.

I have been working at Target full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

The salary is commensurate with the position. If you are allowed to make the hours then you can make pretty good money working with them.

    Cons

The company has decided to cut costs at the expense of the team members. The hourly employees in some instances are forced to find other jobs to supplement their incomes.

I have been working at Target full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Salary is commensurate with experience. The longer you work with them and do a good job the more the salary is increased.

    Cons

Lack of hours. The company cutbacks are killing the workers. They expect the same amount of work out of fewer people.

I have been working at Target full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

The store is clean, bright and in general the employees are friendly. Target sets a high standard for guest service and monitors the team to ensure the best guest experience.

    Cons

The company talks about work life balance but, with many new changes in company policy it is becoming harder and harder to find that balance. The pay is not suitable for the amount of work required and with ongoing changes more and more responsibility is being shifted to the team lead position without proper compensation. Accountability not equal among leads.

I have been working at Target full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

High standards, clean environment, open door policy, decent benefits

    Cons

Pay raises are merit based, but, an "excellent" rating as a team lead earns you .50-.60 cents more an hour and that's yearly! I don't know about the rest of you, but most of my bills have gone up more than the extra $80/month BEFORE taxes that I earned in my raise.
