I have been working at Taro Pharmaceuticals full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Free breakfast and great commute depending on where you live

    Cons

If there's questionable weather in your area and you don't come to work then you have to use your PTO time to cover. Only if the company decides to shut down can you work from home. There is absolutely no work from home There is no paid leave. They don't care about you. They are only interested in meeting GOALS I would strongly advise you not to work here. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

    Advice to Management

Think about ways to retain talent or be ok with being the last resort. TARO is company that has money. Sacrifice for your people in the same way you require them to sacrifice for you. It's 2019, some of the things that you do make no sense. It's time to ask yourself if you were a worker and not management, would you stay???

I have been working at Taro Pharmaceuticals full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Most of your co workers are decent people. No micromanaging, most of management have to manage both Taro and Sun employees. Sun gets most of their attention.

    Cons

Cliques are abundant. If you don’t drink or play ball you’re out.

    Advice to Management

Discipline the employees who are constantly making mistakes and who don’t own up to their mistakes. No sense of urgency, men are treated better than the women. Some Women managers favor the young men and they are the ones getting promoted in

I worked at Taro Pharmaceuticals full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Facilities are always being renovated . Co-workers are very friendly and there is a lot of opportunity to connect with people outside of your department. Pay and benefits are great as well.

    Cons

It's a very cut throat work environment. Managers are under a lot of stress and it reflects on the employees. There is no formal training process and its difficult to acquire help being that each employee has a heavy workload.

    Advice to Management

    Provide better training material.

I have been working at Taro Pharmaceuticals

    Pros

Excellent benefits & salary, free birthday breakfast every month, summer bbq with prizes, free ice cream, nice luncheons, free fitness classes, free OTC medicine, holiday party with nice prizes.  Overall this is a great company.

    Cons

I only rate it 2 stars because unfortunately the company culture is juvenile. Cliques and alliances are openly formed which gives the work day a Junior High School feel and affects productivity. Oddly there are Directors and Managers who participate in this type of behavior which gives the  Administration staff "the ok" to behave like kids which doesn't help matters.

    Advice to Management

Paying attention to what the common denominator is within employee departure would expose the true reasons for turnover.

    Value your subordinates

I have been working at Taro Pharmaceuticals full-time

    Pros

TARO Is a great company and position for breaking into Big Pharma.

    Cons

District Management isn't that helpful and seems to be number watchers vs. actual sales managers. Absolutely NO growth opportunities !

    Advice to Management

Get More involved not just riding along and flying all over the country to say you are a manager and eating at five star restaurants stop being negative treat all your sales team members the same stay focused on work and not getting involved in your reps personal business and gossiping with other reps which causes team conflicts . Learn to lead by example and remember you're not perfect a manager who doesn't trust you...
