HR won't give anything in writing.
A lot of time and followups are require to get any response from the management/HR/Admin Department.
No overtime compensation, if you don't work overtime your annual PA is bad.
Once you are stuck with a project, you cannot get out of a project unless you quit or the project ends.
Tough to get approval for vacactions.

    Advice to Management

Make the HR accountable for no action or delayed action.
    Improve your work policies.

I worked at Tata Consultancy Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very good benefits. 100% of prescriptions paid. Excellent dental benefits. Assignments tend to be long-term (> 1 year). Some internal technical training available online. Each team at client site has a "go to" person for Help Desk-related and other internal TCS issues.

    Cons

Little to no feedback. Performance review was delivered without input. Very poor HR-related communications - was transferred from one TCS account manager to another without notice. Pay is considerably below Toronto market. Serious language and cultural issues. TCS employee portal looks like it was designed by a 3-year-old - numerous spelling and grammar mistakes. Although company stated a goal of "70% domestic hires", foreign workers continue to pour in.

    Advice to Management

Live up to their word and hire more domestic employees. Communicate with staff regarding other opportunities, transfers and similar items. Rewrite employee portal to make it easier to use and less embarrassing. Recognize the cultural differences and address them.
