I worked at Tata Consultancy Services (North America) full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great projects with 500 fortune client, so if you want to go through them to switch later it'll benefit your networking.

    Cons

    Relocation
    Unprofessional
    Biased l favorites Indians
They look and talk down to American hires

    Advice to Management

You guys need to really understand that this is your consulting services in America. You have to respect American or local hires. Don't talk down and look down because you have Indians coming with 7 years of experience and they act like they are better. It's very unprofessional and unorganized. Also TCS please stop your former employees non rehirable because American companies think they were fired when in reality they left professionally. This is something you should know about TCS they place you non rehirable wether even if you leave professionally.

I have been working at Tata Consultancy Services (North America) full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Lot of variety in terms of number of clients and projects, Job security

    Work life balance

Large scale of global employees provides required skills to complete your project

    Cons

I second the comment made earlier that appraisal process is driven by the relationship with your supervisor. Not by the performance at all

One more time, see above - the first con

Once you are hired, compensation raises are very limited

    Advice to Management

Promote Performance, not favoritism. Learn US culture to differentiate yourself from a brand just exploiting cost arbitrage to an organization which understands business values and local work culture.

    Loose hierarchical attitude.

    Pros

Depending on the role, there maybe flexibility. Coworkers are very nice people throughout all of tcs. The benefits are on par with most companies.

    Cons

Their corporate culture in the US has no real say. All the decisions come from leadership which is all based out of India. They follow the Indian corporate culture which is very different from the US culture. They make empty promises to both their clients and their employees. They are also so big it's nearly impossible to get anything done internally, i.e. benefits, hr related issues.

    Advice to Management

Let the US culture independently manage the US.
