    Pros

When you can leave at 5pm. When you get your paycheck on time.

    Cons

Getting paid on time. Sexual Harassment by male supervisors. Women are treated like second class citizens. Not family oriented.

    Advice to Management

When 9 women accuse the same man of sexual Harassment maybe take it serious? Stop lying! Pay employees for the hours they work! This place is a craphole!

I have been working at Tata Consultancy Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Cheap labor for big companies.
    Steady paycheck

    Cons

Horrible internal systems from the 90’s.
Laughable management that just Suck up to clients to no end. 98% Indian in the US if you are not Indian then you will stagnate. Zero employee support. Projects will oversell their capability and undercut the competition in pricing ever time so greedy US corporations will always award the work to TCS only later to find that TCS will scramble after winning the contract to find people who can actually deliver the work. If you end up in a project like this you will surely be set up for failure.

    Advice to Management

Treat your local US hires with some respect. They allow you to have 12 H1Bs each. They know the language and how US Corporate culture works. Don’t be so racist.

I have been working at Tata Consultancy Services (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Stable company, fair salary and benefits, internal online training opportunities.

    Cons

My review is only as accurate as the projects I have been on. Administrative nightmares, everything needs 10 approvals, hard to get reimbursed for expenses, hard to get travel approvals, total lack of project management skills, PMO does not even show up, abuse of visa holders, absence of communication between departments, HR, finance, project management, travel department etc. Too much dead wood in management.

    Advice to Management

My review is only as accurate as the projects I have been on. Been of two TCS projects so far, both failed due to poor management. Learn to communicate, reduce approval levels. If somebody is not occupied, don't make them an approver, reduce administrative hurdles. If you are operating in the US, India rules, laws, regulation does not apply. Trust the people you hire. A lot of administrative requirements leads one to believe the company has many dishonest employees, in all levels. One crook does not trust another crook is the old saying. Consultants are hired to deliver great business solutions to clients. That is where there focus is and should be. Time wasting lengthy mandatory trainings just so you can check a box does not mean the employee gained anything useful. Throwing people on a project for headcount does not help the project nor the individual unless the individual has some employable skill sets. I have seen people show up at my projects with nothing to offer to the client.

    Pros

    Cons

    Literally every single damn thing.

    Advice to Management

The racism and discrimination is obvious... Not only is TCS a lawsuit waiting to happen - it is also a lawsuit that is happening as we speak. You treat your employees like absolute crap, you discard true talent for skin color and nationality. This company will see its inevitable downfall without any outside help.
