I worked at Tata Motors full-time

    Pros

Lots to learn and tons of exposure. Especially in field service, the challenges that crop up every day are new and exciting.
    Regular feedback sessions.

    Cons

Work hours are long and unspecified. 6 day workweek in a hostile environment - your managers sometimes lack knowledge and have superiority complexes (an individual observation but the upper management in general seems to have a disconnect from employees).
You may be complicit in doctoring more than just the buses.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your employees and your work place - even if it's a small and old one.
    Get a better HR team.

    Pros

Tata Brand Name is good for career. But talented people either need a godfather in this company or they must move to other organizations.

    Cons

Highly bureaucratic and inefficient management structure, Only 10 % promotions are based on merit, rest of it goes to "my man".

    Advice to Management

The cleanup happening now is good, but still lot more needs to be done. The organization needs new thinking and employees need to be motivated.
