I have been working at Tata Motors full-time

    Pros

You will get full exposure of automobile building and will get to learn from your own experiences.
You can do your own research, it just that you have to match your responsibilities with company work. There will be lot of free time but inside the company only.

    Cons

You will need to have more of management skills than engineering skill.
Most of low end hierarchy (supervisor and engineer level) will be doing the same job regardless of your designation. So if your an engineer you will get frustrated because of lot of supervisory work that you might be required to do.

    Advice to Management

Manage your people to do their respective works and remove people to who are not even bothered to their own work. For an engineer to tell a work to a supervisor or operator is like him asking to you, " Why are you troubling me"?
