I have been working at Taubman full-time

    Pros

Taubman offers many social activities, pay is decent, work/life balance matters.

    Cons

Management seems to be out of the loop from what is happening as far as morale, uneven workloads and truly knowing what we do.

    Advice to Management

Please pay attention to the inequities and take time to ask and listen to our concerns.

    I worked at Taubman full-time

    Pros

    Employees compensated well
    Bonus pays out every year
Free lunch every day is nice
    Decent work-life balance

    Cons

Career progression can be slow unless you're exceptional
Most senior leadership has been there for a long time and are opposed to change
Some leadership are loose cannons unchecked

    Advice to Management

Get to know reports of your direct reports better. Don't take what EVPs/SVPs profess at face value. Look at output and results, not just perception

I worked at Taubman full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Overall, Taubman is a good company with good people.

    Cons

Unfortunately the Specialty Leasing department at this organization is not the same. There is complete lack of leadership, direction and oversight within this department that creates discontentment, dysfunction and low morale.

I have been working at Taubman full-time

    Pros

I enjoy working for Taubman. Aside from the good benefits and perks, there is a very supportive culture in the office. People want to get the best work done in an efficient manner - something I really enjoy. The work is always changing and people are on top of their game.

Other things I like: The company does a volunteer day in Detroit. HR also does yoga classes in the office regularly and some other fun fitness activities. Company provided lunch program. Nice offices. Good location.

    Cons

The only con I see is the career advancement portion. Slower than average IMO.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work, recognize talent at ALL levels and continue to strive to not FOLLOW the competition but differentiate yourselves from them!

I worked at Taubman full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Taubman pays for training, and was mostly a good place to work for. The benefits are good. The pay is average.

    Cons

Not all departments are created equal...some get major bonuses and great treatment, while others get the scraps. Micro-management is very heavy in this company. There is little room for advancement. You will often be worked beyond your pay grade and job description...and this work is for free, because it is offered as "experience opportunities".

    Advice to Management

Trust your employees to get their jobs done. When they find themselves working better in your absence, as opposed to your presence, that is not a good sign. Don't micro-manage so much.
