I worked at Taubman full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The wide range, extensive, hands-on experience is definitely a plus. The Benefits are great. My manager was great about allowing me to flex my time in order to support my work / family life balance.

    Cons

The company organization chart is fairly flat, so promotions are few and far between. Their seemingly bi-yearly, staff reducing, "company reorg" practice, is damaging to the corporate moral, and results in a toxic environment for the remaining team members. This is primarily because the reorg is typically announced in November. The company voice-ably starts to worry about who it will be until January when the "chosen" (typically senior employees) are abruptly removed from the premises, with no job hand-off period prior to the release.
They do offer a decent severance package, its just the abrupt manner in which they proceed, leaves a bad feeling for all involved.

    Advice to Management

Provide career guidance and build your teams from within.

I have been working at Taubman full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Among the best performing companies over the course of many years, consistently grows, treats people with respect, honest about addressing issues, very solid management team, lives by its values (not just talk), and a lot of smart/ethical/good people to work with

    Cons

Can be a bit bureaucratic at times, but part of that enables it to meet its budget and targets with an incredible amount of consistency

    Advice to Management

Look for opportunities to promote younger and mid-career employees. Otherwise, keep doing what you are doing.

    I worked at Taubman full-time

    Pros

    Employees compensated well
    Bonus pays out every year
Free lunch every day is nice
    Decent work-life balance

    Cons

Some leadership are loose cannons unchecked

    Advice to Management

Get to know reports of your direct reports better. Don't take what EVPs/SVPs profess at face value. Look at output and results, not just perception
