I have been working at Tax Management Associates full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    They believe family is first.
It's not a huge corporation, so most of the employees are like family because they have worked together for so long.
It's a great work environment, they supply you with everything you need to do your job, and then some.
Most employees have been with the company a long time. That means a lot to me.
    They have great benefits.
They are good to their employees.
Good amount of vacation time. And holidays.

    Cons

IT could benefit from knowing what each department does and needs on a daily basis. Priority is not always thought of. This slows production.
There is a lot of clock watching by managers. Considering we are salary, I don't feel the need to scrutinize each minute of each day.
Not a lot of room for advancement within, due to "it's all in who you know" and favoritism.

    Advice to Management

Communicate. When things are hidden from certain employees, but others know, it's like high school all over again. Too many family members hired to work in the same departments or overall in the company. A lot of favoritism goes on. The work and people are great for the most part. Some of the managers are in different states/offices; therefore, should not manage the employees they do not directly see on a day to day basis. Benefits are good, insurance is as well.

Awesome company to work for. They take you in as their work family from day one. Constant work activities and involvement to get to know everyone. Very supportive company that respects your life outside of work.

    Cons

Little room for growth title wise, but there are opportunities for salary raises with certain positions.

    Pros

Nice, laid back office environment. Great office location manager. If you learn everything you can about PPT, you'll be better at your job.

    Cons

Limited growth. Office culture was more gossip then most will find preferable.

I have been working at Tax Management Associates full-time

    Pros

Definitely a lenient environment and there are some really nice people at the company. I am grateful for the opportunity.

    Cons

A "lenient environment" sometimes equates to misunderstanding. It is difficult to build a career at a place for which there is a lack of protocol. Unfortunately, I am going to be a bit vague regarding that statement, but essentially, having mixed information trickle down results in confusion and eventually inefficiency.

    Advice to Management

Consistency would like to be your friend.

I worked at Tax Management Associates full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Generous paid holidays, pretty good benefits and some stability. Pleasant co workers.

    Cons

Mgt is arrogant, unapproachable, training is minimal, no team or corporate culture. Upper Mgt takes no interest or time with employees. Middle mgt has no authority or training on how to manage people.

    Advice to Management

Need to listen to employees provide more pleasant work environment, improve training, communication and have a company mission statement.
