I have been working at Team Epic full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Many departments in this Agency treat people with respect and responsibility. Hard work is rewarded if in one of these specific departments.

    Cons

Certain people have too much power and control over their lower counterparts, and senior management recognizes this and does nothing. It'd be one thing if they were in the blue, but knowing certain people abuse their power and ignore it is insulting.

    Advice to Management

Take action on making changes in departments, from small to large.

I worked at Team Epic full-time

    Pros

The clients I worked with were awesome, I learned more from them than my supervisor :)
Great exposure to multiple sport properties/events

    Cons

Below market pay, poor raises/benefits, work overload, subjective advancement process (if you're well liked & kiss up to the right people you get promoted quickly even if that means taking credit for work someone else did vs. being a productive, hard worker who is respected by clients and get passed over)

    Advice to Management

Respect employees with fair pay & a less subjective evaluation process. Give more opportunities across different clients/events/relocation.

    Pros

Great relaxed work environment. Opportunity to work on the biggest events in sports.

    Cons

Location (Westport, CT) often quite demanding amounts of work

    Advice to Management

Give employees more opportunities to work out of New York.

    Pros

Great culture. Smart and motivated people. Ability to work with blue chip clients. Great place to learn the sports marketing industry.

    Cons

Salary. Location. Difficult for young people who want to live in NYC because of commute / access. Stamford is best alternative for employees looking for a city to live in.

    Advice to Management

Focus on attracting new young talent to grow into the agencies future leaders. Need to do something about office location. Company could face challenges when senior leaders that have been there for a long time move on / retire.

Great office environment and good training. They prepare you well for what you'll experience in more senior roles. Good perks

    Cons

Advancement opportunities are slow, pay is poor, especially if you start as a Trainee. Long hours and crazy travel schedules

    Pros

Coming in you almost immediately gain exposure to a number of different sports and entertainment properties. They also do their best to assign you to multiple clients so you can learn better client management skills and to gain experience in half the time. Promotions come fairly frequently to those who consistently perform well.

    Cons

Just like with any other sports agency, compensation is an area that could be improved. Employees work fairly long hours for the pay. Most employees are also traveling very frequently adding more hours to the work week, especially for events on weekends. This is always a topic of conversation, but unfortunately no progress was made during my tenure.
