I worked at Teavana full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Great products
Great place to learn about tea
    Great co-workers
    Relaxed business casual dress code
    Team work encouraged
Free tea! (drinks while on shift and employee discounts)
Discount at Starbucks (seriously the only thing good about the merger with Sbux)

    Cons

    Got consumed by Starbucks.
Once they lost sight of their vision and passion for the history and traditions of tea, the company started to really fall. The decline also happened even more when Starbucks took over and killed their vision even further. When the top brass sold out, they sold out hard. Would have loved to have revived this company to it's former glory. I'm honestly sad to see it go.

    Advice to Management

Get away from the numbers of a sale and focus on your product and employees. Ignore Starbucks! They know Coffee, not tea. You should have educated Starbucks on tea not have them bulldoze over your vision and kill the company I loved before you sold out to the Siren's call.
