I worked at Teavana part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Wonderful management, scheduling, benefits, compensation as far as bonuses go

    Cons

Work life balance, changing schedules for members who didn't want to come to work

    Advice to Management

Management was amazing, keep doing what your doing. However, being too lenient on team memebers causes the team to suffer when others are calling out a lot.

I have been working at Teavana part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Many company provided benefits (health insurance for part-time employees, free pound of coffee a week, stock, 401K, free tea while working) as well as a fun environment where you get to talk with many different types of people.

    Cons

Your hours are not guaranteed, they are based on performance. Sales goals are typically easy but this is not the job for you if you want consistency. With all retail jobs you will also have to deal with angry guests (customers) every now and again. If you aren't brushed up on your tea knowledge it is easy to get overwhelmed.

    Advice to Management

Overall Teavana is a well thought out company, my only request would be that information is more clear in terms of the tea itself. There is usually a debate on how much tea makes how many cups, or what the preferred brew temp and time is.

My boss was incredible! He worked with my crazy schedule to give me as many hours as he could. Additionally even as seasonal help I was able to enjoy the discounts, free drinks, and free pounds of Starbucks to brew at home.

    Cons

I wish I could have stayed on after Christmas. Loved the crew.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work! You all are doing amazing things and I can't wait to see where you go.

I have been working at Teavana part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Motivating and eager to develop and grow their new brand. Great self awareness and reactivity from upper management. Flexible with hours and other jobs as well.

    Cons

Need to put more of an emphasis on visuals and elevating customer service and approach training a little differently than at Starbucks. Training Baristas is different than training retail employees

    Advice to Management

    Elevate visuals and training

I have been working at Teavana part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Always improving, Free cups of tea while you're at work, Sales bonuses, Great teamwork, Works with Starbucks as a business partner. This company continues to make me happy with how much they have improved and grown with how they treat employees and customers that come in for some really great tea!

    Cons

You have sales goals to meet, but they are reasonable and they have now focused more on the customer experience than making sales.

    Advice to Management

Keep improving on how employees are treated and how we make sales! This company has come a long way since I was hired.
