    Pros

    1. Flexi Timings
    2. You can experience the worst culture of corporate world here.

    Cons

    1. Senior management is of poor quality.
    2. People hired for one skill are made to work in other projects which required different skillset.
    3. Promotions are based on your relations with your manager.
    4. TechMahindra will prepare you for politics :) As everybody is more interested in playing games than doing their work.

    Advice to Management

Try to recruit managers good enough to look up to rather than focusing all your energy on cost cutting even when the recession is gone.

    Pros

One good reason to work with Tech Mahindra is the culture which gives the employees the freedom to learn

    Cons

Disatisfied employees, no work life balance

    Advice to Management

Need to give direction to the resources and mentor them in a way which will benefit the employees and the employer. Allow people to work work from home, it will save space, electricity and commuting which will benefit the environment and the employees will be happy and there will be more productivity.

    Pros

Telecom sector focus is the only reason, why one should think of working at this firm. The energy and spirit prevalent 3 years back is lost and now everyone is just working to protect their position with no interest in developing the company or growing the business any further.

    Cons

Politics, self promotion, bad HR policies, management team which is not motivated and not interested in either the employee or customer satisfaction.

    Advice to Management

Revamp HR, mean what you communicate and focus on business growth. Get back the energy and spirit of 2007 TechM and retain the small company culture that helped you grow so fast.

I have been working at Tech Mahindra full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The work is broken down into small pieces so that one person does not feel the full load but I guess this is with every IT company.

    Cons

1,Tech Mahindra does not have projects still it keeps on people on bench and they keep on feeling the pressure.

    2. Major customer is BT and it is in theprocess of taking out the business Now, the manpower which was recruited for BT projects suddenly does not have much work. The whole telecom industry is down does not help much.

3.The middle level managment is too arogant.

    Advice to Management

This company was formed to exploit the oppoirtunity of BT IT business. Now, this decline of telecom should have been forecasted before (it is the job of leaders, I suppose) and business should have been diversified much before. This is the faiure of leadership.

No Advice, since it does not make any difference to upper management.

I have been working at Tech Mahindra full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good growth potential but only after merger with Mahindra Satyam is complete.

    Cons

No transparency, untrustworthy middle management. 'Favorite' team members given better projects, more onsite opportunities and faster promotions than those with merit/skills.

    Pros

    Company value, polices and process

    Cons

Poor Resource management and low career growth with very less salary hike.

    Advice to Management

From their own perspective they are doing right things to fat their balance sheet (Acquisitions, cost cuttings, denying salary hikes and promotions)... severe lack of inspiring leadership especially at top levels.

    Pros

Training is not that good...It is too specific to techm...so you don't really learn a lot...
promotions are quite slow..you will get appreciated for your work everytime(assuming you are good at it) but your salary, post, responsibilities nothing really changes that fast..not a place to be in if you want to grow professionally.

    Cons

Office timings are bad...the transport, atleast in mumbai is bad...just one fixed time for the bus...if you ever get late you will have to come to office yourself...and if you have to come to office on weekends the compensation is much less than the amount you spend on travel and to top it all there is nothing other than biscuits in the canteen. and the locality is not that great to have some decent restaurants.

    Advice to Management

    1. Improve your training
    2. Make sure to repair the ceilings so that we don't have to sit with plastic sheets on stuck to the roof to prevent water from falling on our desks. There have been instances where we have kept dustbins on our desk to collect the rain water.
    3. Do something about the mice. Try to keep them away from our cubicles and the canteen! Please!

    Pros

The only pro is that if you are a relative of anyone who has completed a few years in the company your job is secure. And yes lots of entertainment programs all the time, only for the select few who can afford the time. And those who can afford this luxury are ones above mentioned.

    Cons

    1. Horrible senior managers.
    2. Third grade support staff
    3. Useless HR
    4. Red Tape everywhere.
    5. Third grade work culture on the floor.

    Advice to Management

Kindly improve by hiring and retaining competitive and skilled personnel. Forget about hiring and retaining relatives and relatives of relatives. You are scripting your own downfall is what can be seen everywhere.
