I have been working at Technische Universität Dresden full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    + Competitive salary for Dresden
    + Laid-back atmoshpere
+ Great place for students and family people
+ Dresden is a green, quiet, and nice city

    Cons

    - Not renowned university, thus cannot attract top-class non-german scientists
    - Quite a few PhD/PostDoc employees do not care about research/teaching and perform poorly
    - Awful german bureaucracy (many lazy secretaries, bad management)
    - Dresden is home to PEGIDA and occasional racism

    Advice to Management

Dismantle extremely slow and cumbersome bureaucratic procedures, attract international students and create more English-taught programmes and courses

    Pros

TU Dresden is one of the excellent universities of Germany. Here you work at the forefront of interdisciplinary research. Microelectronics is especially good.

    Cons

Dresden is not an international city. In particular, it is not friendly to foreigners. There are only limited job opportunities and the city is not big.

    Advice to Management

The university and the city should work harder to attract international talents. If not, the university and the city will sink.
