I worked at Technisource full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Contact manager was engaged with the employee as much as he could be in a contract situation. Randstad was helpful when the site client converted several of us to long term supplemental positions (LTS) [no longer working for Randstad]

    Cons

    1) In a contract situation, being able to award salary increases was very difficult. No real path to get a raise or promotion. A virtual promotion could be gained by taking on more responsibilities, yet no pay increase accompanied the extra effort. To be clear, no opportunities for advancement or pay increases were part of the original job description. 2) Randstad at one point had an on-line training portal available for employees

    Advice to Management

Continue to advocate for your contact agents and employees. Buy them dinner once a year & talk to them once in a while.

I worked at Technisource full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Work for a fortune 500 company in a world class datacenter.

    Cons

Good luck finding a job after working for Technisource, or whatever name they happen to be going by these days. The fact that they have changed names so often should be your first red flag. Gaslighting, inept middle management, who run their team like their personal fiefdom, if you're not in the "good ol' boys club" you're not going anywhere. When they finally cut you loose, their reasons are based on lies. Don't let them find out you're taking college classes at night and don't you dare take any paid time off, they'll use it against you.

    Advice to Management

I'm sure treating employees like a hamburger patty at the Sunday barbeque is part of the business model and you're doing just fine in that regard.

I worked at Technisource full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I was given progressively more interesting projects that allowed me to grow professionally. I gained experience that allowed me to find a new job easily.

    Cons

I was a contractor, so there were no benefits, and the pay was comparatively low. My recruiter was really good at finding new assignments for me, but I heard other contractors working for Technisource had trouble with their recruiters. Also, at one point Technisource lowered pay rates for everyone and wouldn't give raises for several years.

    Advice to Management

Hire experienced recruiters with lots of technical knowledge!

I have been working at Technisource full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They pay well and hire people who are capable even if they do not have a lot of experience. Technisource works hard to ensure you are doing well on the job and that you and the job are a good fit for each other. There is usually an agent from Technisource on your job site once a week and they will listen to any feedback their employees have to offer.

    Cons

Health benefits are non-existent to contract workers. You often get pressured into working overtime. Typical cons of being a contract worker in a large corporation.
