    Pros

    Great colleagues and a nice place to work. Everyone is friendly and helpful where they can be.

    Cons

    Was promised huge amount of training to up my wage and progress my career. In the year and a half I've been here, I've managed to get put forward for one course, which was then canceled anyway.

    Advice to Management

    Push staff to get onto courses and better themselves!

    Pros

    Great pay and prospects. Staff all pulling in the same direction with the main focus being great customer service. Teamwork.

    Cons

    Long hours and quite a bit of travelling. Can sometimes be very stressful trying to deliver great customer service. Sometimes internal politics hard to deal with.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you are doing. There are many detractors out there who look to knock us but few can compete.

    I have been working at Technology Services Group UK full-time

    Pros

    Various offices spread around the country, although these do appear to be closing slowly but surely.

    Other than that, cannot think of much else.

    Cons

    No direction, poor management, poor leadership (ie those at the very top), poor pay. TSG continually makes poor business decisions.

    Despite the HR reviews on here of how great it is, it's really not all they make out.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to advice from the staff instead of making sure your own agenda is being looked after. Although it's probably a bit late in the day for such advice.

    Poor leadership, poor communication, poor direction, lack of support away from head office. basically, they don't know what they are...

    Advice to Management

    Remove the dead Wood and hire people that inspire and are trustworthy

    I have been working at Technology Services Group UK full-time

    Pros

    The foundations are there for it to be a great business.
    Good technology stack and credible supplier list.
    Regular updates to the staff but we can only hear the same message so many times.
    Knowledgeable CTO who understands the industry.

    Cons

    The CEO continues to let good senior people leave and not addressing those in positions that aren't capable of delivering.
    So many false starts with development and London office seeing people come and go without either of these business areas justifying the investment.
    Sales leadership that isn't capable of building a team to deliver the complex solution message out to the customers.
    Service function is losing the Energy, Motivation and Vision that was built in over many years due to recent senior management changes.

    Advice to Management

    Bring in a CEO with experience in this sector who can help the remaining good people be part of a successful business that can reach its full potential.

    Pros

    Great opportunities to develop skills and experiences, which in turn offers the chance to move into different roles through promotion or transfer into other areas of the business

    Open forums for staff to communicate with senior management

    Benefits package is evolving and improving on an ongoing basis

    Cons

    Some inconsistencies in how managers and therefore teams interpret business strategy, policies and process, so it can feel as though different areas of the business are pulling in different directions

    Advice to Management

    Changes over the last few years have been unsettling for a lot of people. We need to try and generate a more stable approach to future development of the business.

    We also need to encourage (not force) adoption of the published values across all areas of the business.

    Great teams focused on delivering great customer service, with an exciting customer portfolio. End to end solutions portfolio makes it an existing and challenging employer.

    Cons

    Lots of change, but now very settled with good management structures in place. Engaging with employees far more than ever before.

    Pros

    Extremely friendly company, feels more like a family than a workplace. Excellent management of diverse and displaced teams. Nurturing environment, great learning opportunities. SMT are both approachable and experienced. Company values are strong and decent.

    Cons

    The slow and steady approach might not suit everyone but it wins the race. Recent SMT pruning has been potentially destabilising but good decisions have been made and it was well managed.

    Advice to Management

    You nearly have a great SMT team right now, operations needs a clear leader though.
