    Pros

Had a variety of project types to work on within firm. Opportunities to speak up to management and let them know your thoughts freely.

    Cons

A very traditional company stuck in their ways. Hard to be creative in a company who is not open minded to flex hours and working from home. Very hard to keep a good home life/work balance. More focused on growing company with paying for employees to attend networking events then they are with personal growth and funding individuals continuing education. Very hard to move up within company and get promoted.

I have been working at Ted Moudis Associates full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I've been working there for about 8 years. The senior partners, Ted and Chris are hands on and accessible, and have been supportive of my professional development. They would listen to you for where you want to go and what you want to achieve. Colleagues are great. Office manager, Pat is amazing!
Once you join the firm, you belong to one of the teams, and work on projects assigned to the team, and there are many projects. Summer Hours from Friday after the Memorial Day to Friday after the Labor Day. Mid-year & year-end bonuses are great.

    Cons

You might feel being micro managed at times. There are so many projects but with terrible schedule...So many of them lately. I've been working many late nights and weekends since last year. But I can't put overtime since the project hours are not enough. I used to be able to work out go to gym or yoga after work 3,4 times a week, but now I can only do that on weekends. Your annual review is never on-time, which affects your raise.

    Advice to Management

Don't sell ourselves cheap for a sake of winning the job. Hire a bunch of interns all year around so that we can focus on doing more important things while interns help us with tedious tasks.

I have been working at Ted Moudis Associates full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

good people, office hours are pretty consistent - 830AM to 530PM unless you have a major deadline, job security

    Cons

lack of communication between designers and architects, some projects are sometimes not as creative

    Advice to Management

company has a very old school mentality but over the years have loosened up a lot

    Pros

    well structured office
    job security
    simple 8.30-5.30 schedule,no significant overtime
    nice office space
    great co-workers, no divas

    Cons

micromanaged, with 10+ years experience you're still reporting every hour to your supervisor
you feel like a production person, no matter your job title
no space for talents with new ideas, ok for "yes man"
benefits limited to 15 paid vacation/sick days
no flexible schedule or leave of absence
promotions are just a chnage in the job title, do not really change anything in your resposnibilities or salary

    Advice to Management

    more flexible schedule
    more benefits
employees should feel important with tangible incentives not with just "good job" words.

    Pros

Firm is reasonable in regards to overtime and pretty stable.

    Cons

Job is boring, dress code and firm policy sometimes funny. How you look is more important than you professional qualities.

    Advice to Management

It will be wonderful if TMA hire people for manager position that acquire great professional qualities not just professional look.

    Pros

Great co-workers. Beautiful office. Impressive clients.

    Cons

    Micromanaged is an understatement
Hours used to be better and staff used to be appreciated more. It's now too stressful for employees to feel as though they are doing a good and thorough job before being pushed into something else
    Unnessesarily stressful environment

    Advice to Management

Times are better, hire more employees and remind those who have been through these rough times that their hard work is valued.

    Pros

Nice location, nice airy office, nice co-workers, 8:30 to 5:30 job, overtimes hours are rare, few but nice office-only parties, high profile clients.

    Cons

Inflexibility in balancing work and personal life. Inflexibility in time of arrival even if you stay late to make up for it. Parties are for staff only, not families. Job is not very diverse. Teams are very small and you do not have the opportunity to manage staff unless you are at the top.

    Advice to Management

For non-managerial positions staff should have more contact than just the annual review with the leadership.
