I worked at TeleTech full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The building is nice (but 3/4 empty).

    Cons

This company is a company of numbers only. The Directors and above, in most instances, can be described best as "bullies." They have only survived there because they are home-grown and have little to no other experience in the business world. Anyone brought in from the outside quickly realizes that this place doesn't operate in anyway shape or form like a traditional company and gets the hell out.

Let me assure you of one thing if you are debating working here - THEY DO NOT AND WILL NOT ever really care about you. Layoffs are abundant and come without any sort of notice. You are likely to never see a raise, and if you do it will be so minimal that it's almost insulting (think 1-3%). Bonuses are non-existent, unless you sit at the top, and the poor agents NEVER see pay increases.

If this is the industry in which you'd like to grow your career, there are so many other options out there which will allow you to do so without being harassed, bullied and/or taken advantage of on a daily basis by upper management. Sweat shops likely treat their employees better.

As a side note, I came from upper management at TeleTech and left on my own accord - I do not write this as a disgruntled employee who was fired.

    Advice to Management

The advice wouldn't matter - until you have people who care about people and not about dollars, I'd stay far far away from this place.

I worked at TeleTech full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Pay scale is competitive. Benefit packages are good. Intensive training.

    Cons

Little to no opportunities for pay raises. Very few opportunities for advancement. Some company policies may contridict client standards, which adds to the stress of the job.
    Floor supervisors need more accountability.

    Advice to Management

Up training would be helpful for CSRs. Floor supervisors should be held accountable for up holding client standards. Floor supervisors should also be required to assist CSRs with difficult callers.
My experience, ultimatly led to my leaving the company. I was under a supervisor who refused to help with difficult callers & admitted to our team she ignored us when we approached her desk for help.

I have been working at TeleTech full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Decent starting job
    Will hire just about anybody

    Cons

Once you get paid your hourly wage, that's it. There are no reviews, no potential to move further up in the company, and definitely no raises.

Your schedule can vary wildly, even from day to day, with no chance of permanency.

The company takes every opportunity to save a few dollars. Even going so far as to no longer provide sanitizing wipes for the disgusting desks on the call floor.

They have continuously gone back on things they have implemented in the past. For example, the company once asked employees to donate so that they could implement permanent dress down. The donation goal was reached, and employees were able to dress down (jeans and t-shirt, for example). However, not 2 years later they reverted the change and reinforced business casual thus taking the employees precious little money for seemingly no reason at all.

Or how about the fact that they recently started to implement tenured raises for employees who stuck around long enough to earn them. It was supposed to be an additional $0.50 an hour for every year you have worked there. It was promised to be implemented in October of 2016. However, as of today (February 2017) I have been there for 3 and a half years and still do not have this "promised" raise.
