I have been working at Telecare Corporation full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

-Seems to vary by team, but I am glad to have a supportive team environment.
    -consistent schedule
-paid-time off and additional hours from on-call
-having a variety of work environments (office, and community,).
-possibility to see client growth and improvement
    -training opportunities
    -compensation for mileage
-aims for a positive work environment; friendly and willing to help each other out.
-pay interns and can accumulate hours toward liscensure
-co-workers with a wide range of experience and knowledge

    Cons

-High stress, possibility of violent and aggressive clients, intense and time-consuming clients.
-As a salaried employee, lunch is not always an option and there is no paid overtime.
-Supervision does not cover all the client hours required for productivity. 1 unit of supervision is provided per week with the expectation of doing about 25 client face to face hours per week.
-Clinicians are required to do case management
-On-call time (after hours work) is required for most teams and is compensated with vacation time. Clinicians usually have about one on call night a week.
-There are a lot of meetings and takes at least a year if not longer

    Advice to Management

-Continues to work on providing consistent policy and procedures in writing
-Promote team building (does this very well and helps keep up moral)
-Bridge the gap between the us(management) them (other staff) mentality. Better than previous employers.

I worked at Telecare Corporation full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Given a good opportunity to grow in the company, but was mostly due to poor planning of a new program. Get your direct care experience and then move on. Not a career job. I left and made significantly more.

    Cons

Telecare will often remind you it is one of the best places to work. Problem with that is only corporate is allowed to take the poll. Worked there over 5 years and never got to take that poll.

    Advice to Management

You underbid start-ups and they end up suffering or closing. The president is nice but so disconnected from the day to day.

I worked at Telecare Corporation full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great treatment model. Ability to work independently. Excellent management. Nice perks—bonuses, catered lunches, strong team bonds. Committed long-term employees. I enjoyed the challenge of testing the most severe mental health cases in the county.

    Cons

The is a for-profit company (contracted for Medi-Cal, MHSA funded program). And you are not the one making the profit. Mandatory overtime for on call 5150 evaluations. 65% productivity rate expected.

    Advice to Management

    Management was always fantastic.

I have been working at Telecare Corporation full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Puts clients first, supportive leaders, sincerely recovery-focused, branching out to provide more comprehensive services such as treating the whole person and specialty populations values, and encourage's clients to take ownership of their treatment (empowers them to lead meaningful lives).

    Cons

Non-competitive wages for direct care staff, especially for entry-level positions and those programs in smaller communities. Due being a mostly Medicaid provider, programs at times have tight or limited resources to fully provide the best services possible.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the programs, especially those in direct care. They know the most important customer the best - the client.
