I have been working at Telecom Italia full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There are a lot of benefits you can rely on

    Cons

Salary is very low, consultants are more important than employers, if they take as a developer, you will not ever write code, the mails are more valuable and important than working, a lot of employees thinks they are like Gods but effectively they are good for nothing. They don't care if you work, the important is that you stay at your place even if you are web-surfing

    Advice to Management

Use more your inner factory and not take consultants for everything, give value to the inner potential.

I worked at Telecom Italia (Less than a year)

    Pros

the company is the european headquarters for the telecom investments in EU and S. America. in my position of CFO I was responsible for all the financial operations run by the company and member of the management team placed in Amsterdam and Milan/Rome.

    Cons

Sometimes I fell that we were undersized (headcounts) for the number of operations we run daily plus the special projects that were constantly on the table.

    Advice to Management

My advice was to create a stable team of professional employees. I was able to set it up and keep them highly motivated through quality work and gratifications.

I have been working at Telecom Italia full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Many new technologies and partners to deal with. A lot of parallel projects to follow. As a young professional, you have the possibility to rapidly increase your skills.

    Cons

The company is dealing with a strong crysis, and this is reducing employee's salaries and benefits. Work is poorly organised and planned. The average age is very high, and this is a problem when you deal with a lot of new technologies.
