    Pros

Flexible hours, good place to start your career and move on after 1-2 years

    Cons

Favoritism runs rampant in this company. Raises and promotions are too subjective, brown nosers rise to the top while good employees either leave or are laid off.

    Advice to Management

Employee morale is at a all time low. Be more consistent with the way you promote, and stop the gossiping and favoritism.

I have been working at Teledyne Technologies full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

I can't really think of any. Ever since Teledyne purchased our small company things have been getting worse and worse.

    Cons

They expect you to put everything into the company, but they give tiny raises even for great yearly reviews. They used to brag about how well their stock was doing and try to talk all the employees into investing in it, but the last couple years have not been good at all. They reacted by firing a bunch of workers and closing facilities they just purchased several years ago. Meanwhile the top management gets several million dollar bonuses for such a job well done.

    Advice to Management

Make Teledyne a better place to work or you will keep losing all of your good talent (if you don't fire them first).

    Pros

Co-workers included some talented and hard working people. If you connect with the right co-workers they can really help you keep a healthy perspective and deal with the constant irritations.

    Cons

Bosses generally seemed to have no clue. Projects were not planned out in any detail, what would be considered the starting plan, elsewhere, was considered the working plan at Teledyne. Change to the software was the norm, bosses wanted constant changes that, once implemented, were obviously bad and removed.

    Advice to Management

Get input from the people who are doing the work. Meet with the workers affected by decisions and get their input. Don't come storming in and try to micromanage things you know nothing about.

I worked at Teledyne Technologies full-time

    Pros

People are fantastic and exceptionally talented.

Everyone is glad to help each other regardless of the problem as we are all multidisciplinary Engineers and can provide insights outside our core expertise.

    Cons

Projects lack focus most of the time and owners are changed frequently removing a sense of ownership and responsibility.

    Pros

Very sound company with excellent stock growth. All in all a good company. I guess it depends on the business unit you work for as to your individual experience.

    Cons

Controller promoted to GM does not have a clue how to manage people or a production facility. Too much emphasis on lean, operations. Reviews are used to point out any negatives to justify low increases. Some employees are told they are at the top of their pay scale and can't get an increase.

    Advice to Management

Share the wealth! It is a shame some employees receive .25/hr. increase during quarter after quarter record earnings and profit reports. Upper management gets million dollar increases. Shame on you!
