I worked at Telefónica full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It has to be the people if you're lucky enough to get a store where everyone supports each other each day is a pleasure. I've made life long friends and I looked forward to every day. No matter how hard things became you had people to guide you and help you.

    Cons

If you work for a franchise you are paid less, you have more pressure and things can change very quickly. If you work for the retail non franchise you have better conditions of work. The prices are not competitive compared to other similar companies and they need to get rid of add ones and focus on the core product.

    Advice to Management

Treat everyone the same, don't have favourites and give more time for the reps from phone companies to show us features and benefits of the handsets we sell.

I have been working at Telefónica part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Decent basic for retail
    Great training
My manager have been really cool and supportive
Strong brand to have on a cv
    Generous discounts allowance
First to get access to new phones

    Cons

    High KPIs
    All regional managers are unsupportive
Culture of fear of losing your job
    No progression to head office
    Constant changes in targets
    More focus on sales
Depending on your store you can get a great team or a team of snakes
    A lot of politics
Very demanding and rude customers on a regular basis.
    No overtime
Now a lot of high employee turnover
    The best CEO has left
A lot of food staff have left
    Blame culture mentality

    Advice to Management

Senior management team seem to be deluded and not supportive of the situations in store. Even on a slow day they make it feel as if it is your fault. You burn out in this role. It starts taking a tole on everyone. The threat of performance plans and warnings is constant. Your either being threatened by senior management or abused by customers. Literally can't win anymore. Seems like loyalty doesn't matter anymore

I have been working at Telefónica full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexible Work Culture - at the forefront of employers offering a flexible work solutions. Everyone is given their own laptop and phone, but more importantly is trusted to get their work done on their own terms that fit around their lifestyles.

    Cons

Progression is difficult in Finance unless you are based in Slough. This will likely be impacted further by upcoming restructures, of which I'd expect more to come in 2017.

    Advice to Management

Improve engagement between various locations. In Slough the opportunities and culture are great, but sadly lacking in Leeds and Preston Brook.

    I worked at Telefónica full-time

    Pros

    - You are working for one of the biggest companies in the world.
    - Have access to really big clients.
    - Offices in London are located next to Piccadilly Circus.
    - Great team.
    - It's a telco, nice deals on company and personal phone.

    Cons

    - Some times is slow.
    - Despite of diving into digital adventures, you still can feel the main business is a telco.
    - It's a telco!

    Advice to Management

Forget about old and long procedures, move faster, be hungrier, and trust your teams.

I have been working at Telefónica full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

A company with huge potential that has capacity to do great things. Some exceptional leaders and incredibly interesting projects. Excellent travel opportunities and opportunity to work in a multicultural workforce.

    Cons

So much legacy, so many people who have been in Telefonica 20+ years and are so comfortable they don't take any risks or put themselves out there. A lot of people find it easier to say no to new projects, because it's safer, rather than let innovation happen. Lot of cuts right now, which is good in this way, although as a result morale is rock bottom

    Advice to Management

Keep cutting the gravy train workers. All of your employees are capable of more if you push them the right way
