Pros
Worked in an HR Department from 2008 - 2013. The environment, vibe and culture is so engaging in TM. The opportunity to explore new things in HR is immerse.
Cons
Started to decline in 2012 in term of HR top management. The management failed to understand on how to motivate and engage the HR staff

To look back and materialize on the company culture and values

Serving the nation. Hardworking, creative team members. Dedicated and loyal workforce. lots of different opportunities for growth and innovation

Isolated Top Management, yes culture and hierarchical. BOD lack of future direction and strategy, focused on short term operational matters. Inconsistent execution of policies, especially HR.
Advice to Management
Clear and firm strategies and direction. Proper job fit to the requirement, not favoritism and just to save people.

- Good work/life balance - 1/2 day on every last Friday - Generous Annual Leaves for permanent staffs - Good allowance package (13% EPF, Unlimited Medical, travel, meal, mobile, broadband, lodging etc) - Friendly colleagues
Cons
- Too many departments and too many people earning easy money without doing much - Top management changes frequently - Politics - Very low salary/bonus/increment compared to other GLC - No salary realignment for people who earned certifications - Very difficult to move up the corporate ladder

High pay, awesome benefits: 1. Pay for executive level starts at RM 3.5k 2. Low interest rate for housing loan
Cons
Too bureaucratic, communication breakdown between top management and working level officers. Less challenging task hence slow growth, and underutilized.
Advice to Management
Appreciate talent and encourage internal rotations - be mindful that HR team isn't that efficient.
