    Pros

Benefits come from Comcast so they are great + 4 tickets a year to Universal Studios

    Cons

Management is a huge click. They all know each other from somewhere and outsiders barely make the cut to Telemundo. The 2 top executives at the station group control ALL the decision making at every station even though each station has its own GM and ND. That means: 1) Any promotion has to be pre-approved from one of the 2 top executives 2) Promotions and employment considerations are NOT based on merit. They don't pay attention to experience or in the news department's case, education and expertise. They say they require news folks to have journalism degrees or related field, but at least in my station only 4 out 11 are actual journalists (and only 1 of the anchors is an actual journalist) Keep in mind anchors get paid more money 3)Salaries are not competitive in the local markets. They're actually about 30% lower than other local stations (unless you're part of the click and get a contract)

    Pros

The company was always the underdog to the competition so the expectations were very high to perform outstandingly, which inspired me to go beyond the call of duty; the sense of truly seeing your contribution have great impact in the network's public perception was a great feeling and stimulated me to continue making myself noticed. I made it to the top because I was loyal to the company and went to any length to help first my tv station and then the network.

    Cons

Too much inside drama commanding the scene, no control of talent's outrageous and ridiculous demands, small people with entourages put in high places and given too much power when it was clear they were just advancing their own interests. It was never clear what the brand and identity of the company was; always a sense we were just "the other station in Spanish". Great vibes on local station level, HORRIBLE vibe from network.

Poor leadership is resulting in company falling in profit and shares

    Pros

Prior to the new management, TLMD was a great place to work. 2012 and 2013 were very successful years and the company was in an upward growth mode. Great bonus payouts. Culturally sensitive. Inclusive. Fun. Hard work was rewarded and valued.

    Cons

The new management team has made poor decisions about the business & introduced so much bureacracy that TLMD is doomed. The new Prez is a puppet for NBC stations and has no decision making power and is not an independent thinker. All of the leaders have been replaced my non-Spanish speaking caucasians, TLMD is not a real Hispanic organization anymore, despite being a Hispanic tv network. Be very cautious. They are spending money they dont have and have no background in spanish language tv - we've seen this before. It will take years to recover from this experimental stage.

    Pros

Great health benefits. Co-workers were more like family.

    Cons

The company is way too top heavy. Not enough workers to get things done. You'll do the work of three people. No room for growth.
