    Pros

Latest technology used, Quick adaptation of best practices. Good training programs by HR and industry experts. Good team members. Free food and Friday social hour. Compensation is competitive to the role.

    Cons

Loud talker wins, Visibility is through any questions. Benefits so so but tries to be competitive to industry. Leadership takes input too much from newly recruited leaders.

    Advice to Management

Cut losing businesses quickly. Consider right/left shift of senior management; Rotate first level management to get overall experience.

    Pros

Quite a few of nice colleague to work with.

Have chance to learn knowledge from back end to front end.

    Cons

Long term outlook is not that clear or positive.

Need time to figure out the strategy for the coming several years before money burned out.

It's not the worst situation met in past 10 years, but still need really good idea to overcome the challenge.

    Advice to Management

    Engineer needs time for family.

    I worked at Telenav full-time

    Pros

HR is what HR should be, supportive, helpful, nice. Co-workers are generally helpful and collaborative. The product and technology have potential to be turned into interesting Apps.

    Cons

They just layed-off a lot of good people with a lot of experience in the current Telenav core business - navigation and search. Maybe the company is pivoting toward a new direction, but this has not been communicated to the employees, so recent actions seem strange and erratic.

    Advice to Management

Need to stabilize the company direction. Flexibility is good to a point. If your direction is not clear, employees and investors will lose confidence.
UX team has too much influence over product direction. You also have Product Marketing, Product Management and Engineering teams with specific market/product experience to contribute. They are feeling frustrated and marginalized.

I worked at Telenav full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I met many very smart people while working there, lots of employee perks (bagels and donuts, morning fresh fruit, company sponsored lunches), great benefits.

    Cons

Their development process was broken, but management was unwilling to change the status quo. They felt that their process worked even though they had many deployment and quality issues. They laid off many folks who were working hard to make improvements to the Development process, because they were "rocking the boat"

    Advice to Management

Learn about modern development practices, the company could be great if only you would consider some process changes
